  • Our experience shows that the same research on different data collection platforms (PAPI & CATI) yields different sample profiles and data. At the same time, multi modal data capture (reach the respondent through any combination of data collection methodologies) is becoming increasingly important given the increasing difficulty in reaching respondents. How do we tackle this anomaly?

  • At Impetus Operations, we believe in using the same online script across data collection methodologies. If it is PAPI, we will do data entry using this script. If it is CATI, we will use the same script to interview. If it is online, we email the same script as a link. This ensures partial consistency. At the same time, we are willing to partner with our Clients to carry out calibration exercises to make data across methodologies consistent.
